In Silence by Sara Chaiir, Morocco – photo essay –

For all of those who suffer in silence, for all of those who can’t be heard, for all of the broken voices and especially, for all the youth of my country, I chose to break the silence. I took promotional pictures to raise awareness about a subject that is still a taboo in Morocco. I chose to talk about this matter in particular, because I recently witnessed the suicide of two of my young neighbors. As a future photojournalist, I am entitled to make their voices heard by sharing their story with the world. I hope  that by using their example, it will help us save more lives. I conclude with a deep thanks to: Mr. Lonely: Ali Kechar. The Indifferent friends: Leena Abouanass and Anas Chair. I sincerely appreciate all the time and effort you’ve put into this project.
